dinner at fei cui with my family on mon night.. gesl emergency meeting on tue afternoon.. blood donation drive today.. at least my days are not so liveless now.. things are happening, life is getting busier.. i'm getting back on track slowly.. tt's a gd thing.. keeping myself busy can help me feel tt i'm doing something useful n not just slacking ard..
tried to donate blood just now.. but sadly, my blood pressure was too low.. so i was rejected.. 3rd time liaoz since i first tried in j1.. pathetic horz.. so jialat.. it was fun though, watching fabio getting "tortured".. haha.. his 1st time donating blood.. i guess it went ok lahz.. there'll always be a first for everything.. perhaps he'll now discover the motivating force tt makes some ppl want to donate regularly.. hey fabio, u got the cute "no chicken" cert! hehe =P

another fri is here.. the 3rd one since the sem started.. n jan is coming to an end..

hehe reaching 20 yrs old.. n soon, i'll be an adult le.. hahaha was mentioning to jh n roy tt i'm turning 20 soon.. n jh said, "huh i've already reached 20 lehz.. like 3 yrs ago? u make me feel so old.." err not my fault lahz.. i'm a fire rabbit.. hehe.. not any other kind of rabbit..
well i'm quite excited abt the upcoming trip to chinatown with my frens to do the historical trail.. wonder wad kind of pics we'll get haha.. hope we'll work well together!

yest had a chance to have a gd talk with jh.. he told me alot of things tt shook my mind.. n i realised tt perhaps things aren't so perfect n i'm not really as contented as i'd thought i would be.. maybe.. i should have a gd talk with him also.. but.. i dunno how to be upfront abt it.. haiz..
the usual mon lessons of hist in the early morning n geog in the late afternoon makes me slpy.. but i managed to survive.. was reading my notes n talking to jh on webcam at night when elyse went to jh's room.. haha n somehow we agreed to go out for supper.. so we walked the route tt our ogls' led us last time.. n lucky for us, we din have to climb the gate.. was planning to eat prata, but somehow jh led us to another coffeeshop.. so nvm lorz, we ate chicken cutlet.. wah seh damn filling lahz.. couldnt even finish my drink.. n then we talked n laughed all the way back to my hall.. although it was a loong walk, i wish it had not end so soon.. hehe it was really fun chitchatting with them =)
i have a 10.30 lesson later, n i havent finish the readings assigned.. hee almost done lahz.. n i have another assignment waiting for me to finish in a wk.. sheesh i've procrastinated.. should do it tmr lahz.. since tmr ends earlier for me..

horrible headache early in the morning.. was actually planning to go n do my hw.. but with the pounding in my head.. i think it'll be a miracle if i can still stay awake after eating my panadol..
well fri was the first opmc meeting.. met a lot of familiar ppl, n some not-so familiar ones.. aisha is the vice-president for opmc, i believe she can do a gd job. for me, i'm the assistant welfare n logistics n also assistant treasurer.. haha when my laogong heard tt, he said, "wah so many ass arh.." nvm tt was pretty lame =P well i look forward to working with the rest of the team!
a new wk is coming.. so fast, its the 3rd wk liaoz.. n then my bday will reach, then valentines day, then cny.. wah so many special days.. hmm havent thought of wad to buy for laogong for vday lehz..

i realised i havent completed the blog entry on my malacca trip.. haha but i'm too lazy to continue now.. i guess nobody is interested in reading as well.. oh well haha..
anyway, its a fri morning on the 2nd wk of my lessons.. i have a meeting with the rest of the opmc this afternoon at 5.30.. sheesh.. they chose such a "gd" timing.. i want to go home early lorz.. haiz.. oh well.. it'll be gd to know more ppl i guess..
yest was a horrible lesson.. it wasn't even considered a lect when the lecturer isnt there.. she just came in, gave a little instructions, n said, "i'll be in my office, so if u have any probs, just go upstairs n find me." n she really left. n so, the gd students in us, we stayed n finished up wadever we could. enjoyed working with the rest, but i felt tt if the lecturer continues to do tt, i think nobody in class will like it..
went to meet laogong after tt for dinner.. saw a pasar malam at je.. hehe went to walk ard, n then spent $16 on a long top tt looks a little traditional malay costume liddat.. i dunno whether i'll look nice in it coz i couldnt try it, but the person did say tt if there were any probs, i can go back n exchange.. haha i dunno the terms n conditions lahz, i just hope tt the top will fit well.. later i'm trying it! hehe.. =P

almost one wk of lessons gone le, i'm already feeling tired. haha i guess i'm still abit in the holiday mood. but somehow i also become abit kan chiong as well. i've already started photocopying notes n all tt. haha scary right. oh well.. projects n assignments n presentations n tutorials are all lined up le, so yah, can't afford to slack lahz.. must jia you le!
also gonna play a part in various activities organised by the ba club. so i guess i gotta plan my time very well le.
laogong passed his driving test!!! haha so happy for him =) now he can go home everyday, no need to stay in camp le. but only for a few wks lahz..

i suddenly realised i have procrastinated on blogging on my trip to malacca.. haha.. alright then, shall do so now.
1st day (21/12/06): met up with my relatives at the tour agency at beach road, n boarded the bus at ard 8.30am. we crossed the borders of s'pore at ard 9.15am, n went through the checkpt at malaysia as well. then, its a looong bus ride to yong peng, where we stopped for a break. tt was 10.50am already. i think moving from the east to the west of s'pore is faster than tt lorz, n the bus is already travelling at ard 100km/hr.. so u can imagine how long the trip was. after tt, it was another loooooooonger bus trip to malacca. luckily the bus trip was rather smooth, so i slept for an hr or so i think. along the way, we saw areas flooded by the heavy rain, n these floods really make those in s'pore seem small in scale. there were some houses tt had half the doorway filled with water. i wonder if they moved their furniture away or something.
we reached our hotel, called century mahkota melaka at ard 1pm, n after checking in, we went for a late lunch at the foodcourt. at first went shopping for a while, then my cousins went to cut hair at a nearby hairdresser, so we followed. found a really gd deal there, hair cut was only 5ringgit (tt's like only $2 in s'pore), so all of us had a hair cut there. haha it was a job quite well done, so it was definitely worth it. went shopping with my mum after tt, while my relatives went back to the hotel first. bought quite a few things (for frens n for mum) n then we met them again to eat dinner at a small "coffeeshop". the tea was so hot there, my cousin burnt his fingers on the teacup n spilt it. n it happened 2 times. i didnt touch the tea at all until dinner ended. went back to hotel after tt, n watched some tv. not much programs tt were in chinese, so my mum had nothing much to do. we went to slp at ard 12.

horrible flooding in malacca.. luckily the flood waters didnt get into the bottom of the bus where our luggage were..
the mahkota clinic (or something liddat) right beside our hotel.. haha.. if anything happens, we can just go there! luckily we didnt have the need to enter there.
tt's the shopping centre tt we went to, its just in front of our hotel..
its the mini kitchen in the hotel room, but they put there "no cooking", so i wonder wad the stove is for.. hmm..

reflections on 2006:
the first two mths of the yr were like the celebration of the end of my jc life. although i was working hard as well, i was worrying at the same time abt how my results would be. getting a DCD wasnt something i was proud of, n i know tt i deserved tt grades coz i didnt put in my best. i guess it spurred me on to put in my ultimate best in uni studies. i'm glad tt i didnt fall too hard, so i bounced back rather easily. still, i'll have to keep on telling myself for the next few yrs tt i can't afford to fail.
working for tt few mths before uni started also made me realise how horrible i am with money matters. some ppl say tt the money u earn urself is precious, n u'll be more careful spending it, but it didnt apply on me. in fact, i spent so freely, i was overspending my own salary. it went to the extent tt i had to ask my dad to top up my bank account a few times. when uni started, i was still spending, making up excuses tt i was buying things i need. tt was only half true. i only stopped such major spending 2 or 3 mths after my uni life started. luckily, my thinking changed from then on. now i've spent a lot less, n each time i look at clothes, i'll be thinking tt i have enough at home. tt helped me to curb my spending i guess. so, i'll have to keep on thinking tt way. i want to save up more money for the future.
working with a whole new grp of frens in nie was a new experience for me, n i enjoyed myself even when the stress got to us n made us a little snappish. i'm glad tt i met a few gd frens, (but all were guys) n i really hope to get to work with more ppl in the coming yr. it was great receiving gd news on my results as the yr is ending, n it gave me much-needed confidence. i will work harder for my next semester, n i will not disappoint my parents again.
well the semester will be starting on the 8th, so i've only got a few more days of freedom. shall enjoy myself to the fullest, n at the same time prepare for another few mths of battle!

HAPPY NEW YR!!!!!
hehe went to watch countdown fireworks with laogong, n we found a great spot to watch fireworks in the future. no crowd to squeeze us, no hot breaths right in front of ur face.. haha but of coz got abit of disadvantage also lahz.. the fireworks yest was great!! we also went to the asian civilisation museum (since admission was free from 7pm to 2am) to explore, n man, it really is a great place for hist students! got really so excited abt all the things i saw there, n i told laogong i'm going there again to explore in more detail.
